Job Summary
We are seeking an early‑career Data Scientist to join our IT analytics team. The role focuses on building predictive models, extracting insights from large datasets, and collaborating with software engineers to deploy data‑driven solutions across our product line.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured data from internal databases and third‑party APIs.
- Develop and validate machine‑learning models (e.g., regression, classification, clustering) to support product recommendation and fraud‑detection initiatives.
- Write reproducible Jupyter notebooks and share findings with cross‑functional teams through dashboards and slide decks.
- Collaborate with data engineering to design data pipelines that automate feature extraction and model scoring.
- Monitor model performance in production and recommend retraining or feature adjustments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related role.
- Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn, and TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Hands‑on experience with SQL and at least one relational database (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analytical results to non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, or Google Cloud AI Platform).
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for ML workflows.
- Published work or contributions to open‑source data‑science projects.
