Pre- Authorization Manager:

J. Morrissey, a highly rated Recruiting & Staffing Firm by Google and Forbes Magazine, has been contracted to perform the Search for a Pre-Authorization Manager.  This role is a unique position where the emphasis is more on breaking down the barriers to coverage approval for patients versus a high-volume setting. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop a team of roughly 5 employees 
• Work directly with clients and patients 
• Delegate new cases to the appropriate representative 
• Ensure all case work meets the Service Level Agreements for individual clients
• Work directly with Clients and Vendors 
• Assist with RFP and Prospective Client calls / presentations 
• Lead monthly meetings with Clients to review the program’s effectiveness and results 
• Audit / Spot audit files for quality and completeness 

Required: 
Bachelor’s Degree, Associates Degree or CPC / Coding Degree 
5 plus years of Supervisory / Management experience 
Experience from the Provider Healthcare Setting 
3 to 5 years of experience in either Medical Billing, Coding, Benefit Verification, Pre-authorization and or Claim appeals 
Strong communication skills and business acumen
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
