Database Developer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain databases for various applications.
• Write efficient and optimized SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Collaborate with software developers to integrate databases with applications.
• Perform database performance tuning and optimization.
• Create and maintain database documentation, including data models and schemas.
• Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate access controls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues and errors.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and trends.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Database Developer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Proficiency in SQL and database design principles.
• Experience with data modeling and schema design.
• Good understanding of database security and access controls.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications:

• Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Experience with database migration and replication.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts.
• Certifications in database technologies are a plus.
