Seeking a positive, self-motivated, and energetic senior accountant who will be responsible for the full cycle financial accounting. What sets this role apart is the vast experience it has to offer, through exposure to cross functional teams as well as the wide array of financial topics covered, including Technical Accounting, SEC Reporting, and Revenue Recognition.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis of results for more higher risk, technical processes including Equity & Stock Compensation, Fair Value Accounting for Investments, Debt, Tax Provisions/Fin 48 Analysis, Revenue Recognition, Warranty, Deferred Revenue, etc.
- Assist with all technical accounting research functions for the Finance/Accounting department, including but not limited to the following topics: Leases under ASC 842, Revenue Recognition under ASC 606, Transfer Pricing, Foreign Currency Translation, Hedging Arrangements, Business Acquisitions or Divestitures, Segment Reporting, Going Concern Analysis, Sales and Use Taxes, Derivatives, Goodwill and Intangibles impairment reviews, etc.
- Prepare the quarterly and annual Statement of Cash Flows including any supporting schedules, ensuring the treatment of each line item is vouched to authoritative guidance.
- Support SEC Reporting through the preparation of various SEC filings including Form 4s, 10-Qs, 10-Ks, S-8s, etc.
- Assist in the design and implementation of any new accounting standards, including ASC 326 CECL, ESG Reporting, etc.
- Assist in the initial review of all contracts for non-standard revenue recognition terms (i.e., Minimum Purchase Commitments, Variable Consideration, Trade-Ins, Tiered Discounting, etc.)
- Research, create, and implement processes to support timely and accurate reporting.
- Interact with GL Accounting Team to ensure unique contracts and transactions are recorded in alignment with current accounting guidance.
- Organize supporting documentation for quarterly reviews and year-end financial statement audit.
- Support the continuous effort in building-out our accounting ERP software.
- Identify and participate in the development and execution of SOX Compliance efforts.
- Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.
- Support FP&A, investor relations, Board, and management requests and projects as needed.
- Interact with financial management, general management, internal/external auditors and other personnel.
- Perform other tasks as requested, including ad-hoc analysis.
- Administer other platforms that relate to your accounting areas.
Required Education and Experience:
- 3-6 years relevant accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related degree.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced working knowledge of Office 365 and companion applications.
- Experience with modular ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of accounting theory; working knowledge of US GAAP and internal control frameworks.
- Track record of taking initiative to resolve issues.
- Ability to manage concurrent projects/activities and adapt to change.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Active professional designation (CPA).
- Experience with auditing and/or supporting the preparation of SEC Reports.
- Public company accounting experience
